CHERRY DUMP CAKE

THIS WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE DESSERTS GROWING UP AND GOOD NEWS, IT STILL IS.

This recipe is fool-proof. Truly. It’s a semi-homemade type of dessert that only has 4 ingredients, takes no prep and can cook while you’re having dinner.

You can use any type of pie filling you like, but I’m partial to cherry. I mean, cherries and pecans, come on.
Top with your favorite vanilla ice cream (Blue Bell if you can get it, sigh), and wait for the compliments to roll in.

Y’all let me know what you think!

A cherry pecan dump cake with four ingredients and no mixing bowl. Dump it, bake it while you eat dinner, and top it with vanilla ice cream. Then let the compliments roll in.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In 9X13 pan add cherry pie filling, spread evenly.
  3. Add dry cake mix on top and spread evenly.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
  5. Pour Melted butter on top.
  6. Bake for about 1 hour, until browned on top.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • Can half this and use smaller pan, but remember to reduce baking time to 30-45 minutes.
  • Can use any pie filling you like!
