Weekday Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken Tacos

Description

These tacos are so delicious and incredibly simple. You’ll have dinner ready with about 5 minutes of prep. You can adjust the seasoning to your taste, use for tacos, nachos, salads or burrito bowls, whatever you prefer. Perfect for any day of the week, especially the busy ones!


Ingredients

Scale

1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast (fresh or frozen)

1 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Pepper

12 tsp Chili Powder

1 tsp Cumin

1 tsp Oregano

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1/41/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1/2 Yellow Onion (chopped)

8 ounces Tomato Sauce


Instructions

Add all ingredients to slow cooker.

Cook on low for 4-6 hours for fresh chicken or 6-8 frozen.

Shred in crock pot and mix with juices.

Serve on favorite tortillas with favorite toppings (cilantro, cheese, avocado, etc.) or use for nachos, to top a salad, or add to rice for a burrito bowl. 

Notes

If you like less spice, go on the conservative side on the cayenne and chili powder.
