My mom makes this every year at Christmas time for us to snack on, but Josh also loves it for a road trip. Think Chex Mix, but much more savory. It makes about a gallon ziplock full – which is just right for Josh.

Description

Think Chex Mix, but much more savory. It makes about a gallon ziplock full and is perfect for holidays or road trips!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 Cups Corn Chex Cereal
  • 3 Cups Rice Chex Cereal
  • 3 Cups Wheat Chex Cereal
  • 1 Cup Pretzel Sticks
  • 1.5 Cups Rye Chips
  • 1 Cup Cocktail Peanuts
  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 5 TBS Worcestershire
  • 4 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1.5 tsp Onion Powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  • Combine all Chex Cereal, pretzel sticks, peanuts and rye chips in very large bowl.
  • Melt butter. Mix spices and Worcestershire in the melted butter.
  • Pour over cereal mix and toss well.
  • Pour onto 2 ungreased cookie sheets and bake for about 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. 
  • Spread onto paper towels to cool.
  • Prep Time: 25 minutes
  • Cook Time: 1 Hour
