Description
This Grapefruit Gin Fizz, is the perfect summer cocktail. It’s slightly tart/slightly sweet, has a little bit of fizz and is super refreshing, perfect for summer days.
Ingredients
Scale
Rosemary Simple Syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 package (about 8 sprigs) of rosemary
For 4 cocktails:
- ¾ cup Freshly squeezed grapefruit Juice (about 2 grapefruits)
- ¾ cup Gin (Hendricks)
- Juice from 1 lime
- ¼ cup Rosemary simple syrup
- Sparkling water (Topo Chico)
- Rosemary sprig for garnish
For 1 cocktail:
- 1.5 oz Freshly squeezed grapefruit Juice (about 1/2 grapefruit)
- 1.5 oz Gin
- Juice from 1/4 lime
- 0.5 oz Rosemary simple syrup
- Sparkling water (Topo Chico)
- Rosemary sprig for garnish
Instructions
Rosemary Simple Syrup:
- In a small saucepan, heat rosemary sprigs, water and granulated sugar over medium-high heat. Bring mixture to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat, cover and steep for 30-60 minutes. Remove rosemary sprigs and store in the refrigerator until ready to use. Can be made ahead of time.
Cocktail:
- Combine gin, grapefruit juice, lime juice and rosemary simple syrup in a shaker filled with ice and shake.
- Strain into a glass, filled with ice. Top with club soda/sparkling water, and give one final stir to combine.
- Garnish with a rosemary sprig if you have them.
Notes
You can also use regular simple syrup, but the rosemary really gives it that fresh kick!
