French Bread Pizza is another family favorite that is easy to make, easy to customize and always a big hit!
We’ve made this for our friends many times and even if I was hesitant that it wasn’t fancy enough – I mean it has velveeta on it – they always love it. I also think it’s my father-in-law’s favorite thing that I make. So, high praise.
(P. S. This is not the last recipe you will see on here that has velveeta in it, so if you’re morally opposed, shield your eyes and use some soft cheddar.)
I’ve put down how we make it below but use this as a template and customize it for your own family! If your kids are picky – make half with cheese only. Don’t like sausage – swap with hamburger. Add mushrooms, peppers, olives… go crazy and let me know what y’all think!

Description
French Bread Pizza is another family favorite that is easy to make, easy to customize and always a big hit!
Ingredients
- 1 loaf of French Bread
- 1 lb Breakfast Sausage
- 1 lb Hot Breakfast Sausage
- Pepperoni
- Sliced Jalapenos
- 1 container Pizza Sauce (we use Contadina)
- 2–3 oz Velveeta (cut into strips)
- 8 oz Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Grated Parmesan
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook and drain breakfast sausage.
- Slice French bread down the middle, place on cookie sheet and top with pizza sauce.
- Layer on pepperoni, sausage, jalapenos, velveeta and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with grated parmesan.
- Bake uncovered in oven for 20-25 minutes. Last few minutes on broil to get a brown lid.
- Slice and enjoy!
Notes
I always wrap our cookie sheet in foil prior to assembling the pizza. (So much easier than trying to scrub the melted cheese off.) Use it as a template and customize it for your own family! If your kids are picky – make half with cheese only. Don’t like sausage – swap with hamburger. Add mushrooms, peppers, olives… go crazy!
