Description
This simple chili is hearty and seasoned with just enough spice.
Ingredients
1 TBS Olive Oil
1 Medium Yellow Onion Diced
1.5-2 Lb Ground Beef or Ground Turkey
2 TBS Cumin
1 TBS Garlic Powder
2 1/2 TBS Chili Blend (Morton’s)
1 tsp Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1/4 tsp Cayenne
2 TBS Tomato Paste
2 Cans Rotel
1 8oz Can Tomato Sauce
2 Cups Beef Broth
1 Can Red Kidney Beans (rinsed and drained)
Instructions
Heat olive oil in large pot. Add onion and cook until tender (about 4-5 minutes).
Add ground beef & cook until beef is browned. Drain oil.
Add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, sugar, salt, pepper, cayenne and tomato paste. Cook into meat for a few minutes.
Add the beef broth, rotel (with liquid), Drained beans and tomato sauce.
Bring to a low boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 20-25 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
