Cherry Dump Cake

This was one of my favorite desserts growing up and good news, it is fool proof! It’s another semi-homemade type of dessert that only takes 4 ingredients and can cook while you’re having dinner.

You can use any type of pie filling or nuts, I just love cherry and pecans (drool). Top with vanilla ice cream and it’s absolutely perfect. Y’all let me know what you think!

Cherry Dump Cake

Description

You’re 4 ingredients away from a very impressive cherry dessert!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Cans Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1 15oz Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1.2–2 Sticks Butter (melted)
  • 3/4 Cups Chopped Pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
  • In 9X13 pan add cherry pie filling, spread evenly.
  • Add dry cake mix on top and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
  • Pour Melted butter on top.
  • Bake for about 1 hour – until browned on top. 

Notes

  • Can half this and use smaller pan, remember to reduce baking time to 30-45 minutes.
  • Can use any pie filling you like! 
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 1 hour
