Blood Orange Margarita

Margaritas can feel like a spring/summertime drink but we personally like them year round. So, as soon as I saw blood oranges in the grocery store, I knew we were using them to make some fresh margaritas!

Super easy and just enough sweetness. Cheers, y’all!

P.S. I would probably add some food coloring to make them a darker “blood” red if we were having guests or a Halloween party!

Description

Fresh Fall Margarita

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1.5 oz Fresh Blood Orange Juice
  • 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
  • 2 oz White Tequila (Casamigos)
  • 1oz Cointreau (or Sweet & Sour, Orange Liquer)

Instructions

Shake all ingredients with ice in cocktail shaker. Pour over ice and garnish with lime or orange wedge.

Notes

You don’t have to have a cocktail shaker to make this margarita, I just love how it chills it so quickly!
