I had never made my own French fries until recently. Chalk it up to Covid or the fact that Josh bought an air fryer, but we’ve been making them for the past few months and they are so easy and so dang good!
Burger night at home will never be the same. Y’all let me know what you think!
PrintAir Fryer French Fries
- Total Time: 35 minutes
- Yield: 4 servings 1x
Description
Making French fries at home has never been easier. Burger night will never be the same!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4–5 Russet Potatos (Baking Potatoes – I try to get the longest ones)
- 2 TBS Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic Powder
Instructions
- Clean and slice potatoes to desired size. (I use a mandolin, but know they will shrink up!)
- Add sliced potatoes to a bowl of water for 10-15 minutes.
- Drain and toss with 2 TBS olive oil.
- Add to pre-heated air fryer at 390 degrees.
- Cook for 10 minutes, toss then cook an additional 10-15 minutes.
- Toss with salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
- Depending on the amount of potatoes, you may need to cook in multiple batches. Dump each batch onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and keep in an oven at 250 degrees to keep warm and serve all together!
- Seasoning – we also love to use Lowry’s seasoned salt instead of garlic powder. If doing so, go easy on the salt!
- For two, just do 2 potatoes. I assure you it’s plenty! 🙂
